COOKSTOWN
bLACKROCK HOUSE
A family dwelling conceived from four linear blocks, reflecting the form of nearby agricultural buildings. The cluster came together with the 'left over' space, beneath a flat roof, becoming the heart of the home, the living area. The southern aspect is protect with an overhanging roof that both serves as protection from the rain but as importantly, overheating from the sun. The bedrooms are located to the east taking advantage from the morning light. A garage, office and granny annex are located to the north with there own access allowing them to be both self contained and connected. The reduced hallway allows ever inch of the house to be utilities and enjoyed.
